Monthly Wrap Up: 22 Books Read!

Hello Everyone,

These were my top favorites!!!

I hit a week long slump in September then began to finally post Netgalley reviews towards the last week so I’m not mad about it, just frustrated. I read a lot of really good things and a few questionable things, but overall it wasn’t a bad reading month, just slow. October is my favorite month of the year, and I hope (but not holding my breath) to be able to read a shitton of books for next month, slumps be damned. But meanwhile, here’s a list of the books read. I am obviously not doing pictures for every single one that would take ages and I’m just not in the mood right now to do so. Anyway, here’s the books with rating attached.

Books Read:

The Huntress of Thornbeck Forest by Melanie Dickerson 2 ⭐

Took: A Ghost Story by Mary Downing Hahn 3 ⭐

The Dead of False Creek by Sarah M. Stephen (Netgalley Arc) 5 ⭐

The Highland Bride’s Choice by Amanda Forester 3 ⭐

Iron Widow by Xiran Jay Zhao (Netgalley Arc) 5 ⭐

The Thorn and the Blossom by Theodora Goss 4 ⭐

Finna by Nino Cipri (novella) 4

Deception and Desire by Aubrey Wynne 3 ⭐

The Treasure of the City of Ladies by Christine de Pizan (classic) 2 ⭐

Kissed by Starlight by Cynthia Bailey Pratt 4 ⭐

The Good Luck Girls by Charlotte Nicole Davis 4 ⭐

Gild by Raven Kennedy 5 ⭐

Blackbird House by Alice Hoffman 5 ⭐ ❤️

Poison for Breakfast by Lemony Snicket 3 ⭐

The Pickwick Papers by Charles Dickens (classic)– technically a reread/dnf but still 4 ⭐

Fugitive Telemetry by Martha Wells 4 ⭐

The Black Pages by Nnedi Okorafor 3 ⭐

We Have Always Lived In The Castle by Shirley Jackson 5 ⭐❤️

The Wicked Deep by Shea Ernshaw 5 ⭐

The Invisible Library by Genevieve Cogman 5 ⭐

Lies by Kylie Scott 3 ⭐

Unbreak Me by Michelle Hazen 3 ⭐

And there is my wrap up! It’s nice doing these again, and I note that I didn’t really stick to my tbr but that’s fine, right? Who says a tbr is permanent and I’m more a mood reader than anything. Tbrs for me are mostly “books I’d like to get to but not important” anyway.

How was your reading month? Read anything good? Let me know in the comments!

Until next time,

-Pass Me That Book
