Hello all,

I really enjoyed this free read from Amazon. Purchased way back when so no idea if it’s still free or not. I’ve also never read this author before but will definitely try to make a dent in the other series that they have as they write mostly romance it seems.

(Back into reviewing and this review already feels awkward in writing but hopefully I’ll get into the swing of things before too long!)

Anyway.

This is romantic suspense. Featuring a woman character named Cassie, who is researching for her books at a rather suspicious bar in a bad part of town, she encounters trouble almost instantly in both terms of a tall dark and handsome fellow as well as a drive by shooting that she barely survives… becoming the primary witness to the murder of a dangerous individual.

Swept up into the police station and pressured into being kept safe by the FBI, Cassie gets far more research for her mystery series than anticipated as she gets treated like she’s in witness protection…but not quite. With the detective who helped save her life at her side, and the only person she currently trusts, the two work together to get their lives back… while falling for each other in the process.

I really enjoyed how fast paced this was, how the characters were smart, and the amount of danger was exciting at times. Definitely give this a try if you like the tv show Castle.

4/5 🌟!

Until next time,

Pass Me That Book.
