A bit more steamy than what I’m used to, however I thoroughly enjoyed this book regardless. Admittedly, I skimmed through the steamy bits, and the novel read just fine while doing so. I really loved the characters, the setting, and the other-worldliness of the aliens and their mating system. It was a fast paced read, one of which I spent a few hours flying through the pages, taking me only two days to read, having to stop only for real life issues such as dinner and sleep.

I’ve seen this book several times around Amazon and had been hesitant in reading it. I don’t remember why, only that I didn’t want to start another series being one of the major reasons. Well, now I’ve started yet another series regardless, and don’t regret it at all. Abby is a delightful character, kind and generous. She becomes way cooler towards the end of the book as well, though I’m not saying why due to spoilers. It does involve the dragons, however.

There are dragons, symbiotes, bounty hunters, serial killers, intelligent spaceships, and even art is mentioned throughout this book. It’s filled to the brim with action once the story gets going. I can continue listing reasons on why you should get this book, and the number one reason being it’s free on Amazon and other places as well.

Overall, I really liked this quite a lot and am now invested in getting book 2 to read in the near future, once I knock several of my arcs off the ever growing reading pile.

I rate this book four out of five stars, mainly because I wasn’t thrilled with the intimate romance, though a lot of others may like that kind of thing.

Until next time,

  1. I feel exactly the way you do – I don’t need or necessary like the intimate details, but if a story is engaging otherwise, I’ll just skip the sexy details. On my audio books, I hit those advance buttons until the scene is over. lol. This novel has a nice cover. Love the blue.

    1. It generally depends on how steamy the scenes are for me to skip. Sometimes it’s not so bad, but when it’s super detailed I cringe and swipe away! Lol, I don’t mean to be a weakling in regards to those kinda books, it’s just not my type of read. I have been delving more into romance, and wow some romances make this book look tame in comparison in regards to the steamy bedroom sex scenes!

Thanks for commenting, and yes, I love the cover which is one reason why I read the book, of course, lol.
